In the 21st century, prison services, as an authoritative punishment system, faces a dilemma in dealing with the democratic fundamental requirements including transparency concerning the things done inside the prison walls and economic forces. I will discuss the principles of the internal reorganization of the prison needed to reconcile the opposing forces and argumentations.
